The Super Bowl might be over but Stern Show staffer Jonathan Blitt’s pranks on JD Harmeyer have only just begun. After going on another hike together, Blitt took the opportunity to have some fun with his colleague. “I keep staring at like how high everything is going as we’re walking and then I get this asshole asking, ‘What are your 10 favorite animals?’” JD recalled Tuesday morning before explaining why he had difficulty answering the question. “I want to think things through. I want to be able to defend my answers.”

“You know you love chickens because you love chicken nuggets,” Howard jokingly responded.

JD, who said their walk up Bronson Canyon was just as challenging as Runyon Canyon, remembered his coworker telling fellow hikers that this was his first time out since his surgery. “They started clapping,” he revealed. “I was so winded I can’t say anything back … I don’t even look at them. I just keep walking, I’m looking straight ahead, I’m avoiding the situation and getting out of the area.”

“He’s like, ‘Shut the fuck up, Jon, shut up,’” Blitt noted. “He was angrier this time. It was like hiking with an angry bear and you’ve just got to be careful because he may swipe at you or attack.”

The shenanigans not limited to the outdoors, Howard recounted getting an unsolicited photo of JD with a giant Valentine’s Day bear on an elevator. “No explanation … it’s just a big picture of JD with a bear,” he said. “I had a good laugh and like I don’t know the story behind this, but it’s fucking funny.”

Blitt also had some fun with the fellow staffer when they were out to eat. “There’s these girls at the restaurant and, you know, they said ‘Baba Booey’ … we were like about to leave,” JD remembered. “Jon walked back into the area and goes, ‘Do you want a picture with JD?’”

“They were like, ‘We’d love that,’” Blitt added. “They were excited to see him.”
