Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube Fly to Planet Snoopiter in New ‘Big Subwoofer’ Music Video

New track is the first single by west coast supergroup Mount Westmore

October 21, 2021

Hip-hop legend and repeat Stern Show guest Snoop Dogg has kicked off his 50th birthday in grand fashion—by piloting a spaceship to planet Snoopiter and hanging out with stripper aliens and a dog in a space suit in “Big Subwoofer.”

The single is the first to drop from Mount Westmore, the supergroup comprised of fellow west coast icons including past Stern Show guest Ice Cube, Too Short, and E-40. It’s also to be featured on “The Algorithm,” a new project featuring Def Jam Recordings artists from the past, present, and future that aims to alter the current landscape.

“There’s so much talent on this record, so many styles of music it breaks the algorithm,” Snoop, who joined Def Jam last year in an advisory role, said of the offering. “Right now, the algorithm is telling us you have to rap this way, you have to sound this way, but they’re not telling you how it’s supposed to feel. My algorithm is going to give you a feeling, not a sound.”

In addition to Mount Westmore and his Def Jam gig, Snoop will also be busy in early 2022 when he performs with Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show.
