Did Bobo Purposely Lie About Having COVID-19?

“I got a PCR test on Saturday—that is more conclusive and that kind of trumps the other one and that came back negative,” frequent caller admits to Howard

Frequent caller Bobo has misled the Stern Show in the past on everything from his connection to the September 11th tragedies to plagiarizing Fox News personality Greg Gutfeld and even lying about hanging out with Fred Norris. But did he take it too far when he recently told Howard he had contracted COVID-19 when it turned out to be a false positive?

“I had the rapid test last Wednesday, okay, which is 85% [accurate] … They rushed me right away to get that infusion done,” he tried explaining to Howard Wednesday morning before admitting he might have jumped the gun. “I got a PCR test on Saturday—that is more conclusive and that kind of trumps the other one and that came back negative.”

If Bobo made the revelation to get upgraded to Wack Pack status, it didn’t work. “Anything you want, you’re not getting,” a perturbed Howard told him. “I’ve had it with this guy. He tugged on my heartstrings the other day. I didn’t even make fun of him because I was upset he had COVID and it was all bullshit.”

Staffer Chris Wilding had his own theories on Bobo’s embellished prognosis. “This guy wants to relate to you and be involved with you so bad, and what do you hate more than anything? What is keeping you up at night? It’s COVID-19,” he theorized to Howard. “So, for Bobo to get COVID-19, suddenly you’ll feel bad for him, you’ll feel sympathy. He can have a kinship with you and, Bobo, it’s a really scummy thing to have done if you knew it wasn’t totally positive.”

“You’re opening my eyes,” Howard said in response. “He is so eager to get sympathy from the audience that he gave himself that … Munchausen disease.”
