2019 Emmy Awards: ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Fleabag’ Big Winners in a Night Filled With Surprises

Hostless ceremony also included wins for “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “SNL”

Honoring the best performances and series of television in 2019, the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards saw HBO’s “Game of Thrones” take home a couple more wins in their final season, including another Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series trophy for Peter Dinklage and the night’s top prize for Outstanding Drama Series.

On the comedy side, Amazon’s “Fleabag” surprised many by winning Outstanding Comedy Series while its star and creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge also took home Lead Actress in a Comedy Series as well as the Writing for a Comedy Series Emmy.
