Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds Drops Psychedelic New ‘Holy Mountain’ Music Video

Past Stern Show guest’s new album “Who Built the Moon?” is out in November

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds dropped a trippy new music video for “Holy Mountain,” the lead single from the band’s November LP “Who Built the Moon?”

In addition to a psychedelic vibe and all the colors of the rainbow, the video features everything from a marching band to dinosaurs to flying saucers and everything in between. The song is also bolstered by an assist from the Jam’s Paul Weller, who adds some organs to the mix.

Noel, a 1997 Stern Show guest who is best known as the guitarist, songwriter, and co-founder of Oasis, released a statement along with the video, explaining why he considers “Holy Mountain” the best thing he has ever written: “I knew instantly that it was going to be the first single. Until the day I die, it will be one of my favourite pieces of music that I’ve ever written. My kids love it, my friends’ kids all love it and I am sure ‘the kids’ will love it.”

Noel’s brother and former Oasis bandmate Liam Gallagher joined the Stern Show earlier this year for an interview and in-studio performance, which featured both Oasis hits and material from his new solo album “As You Were.” Though the brothers’ relationship has been historically rocky, Liam told Howard he is “without a doubt” open to getting Oasis back together. Check out a clip from his conversation with the King of All Media (below).

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ “Who Built the Moon?” hits shelves Nov. 24. Watch the video for “Holy Mountain (above) and get tour dates for the band here.
