Judd Apatow was in-studio later in the morning touting himself as the “ultimate comedy nerd” in promotion of his new book “Sick In The Head,” a collection of conversations he’s had with comedians throughout the years. Included are discussions Judd had with legends like Mel Brooks, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Roseanne Barr and Harold Ramis.

Howard covered a wide range of topics with Judd jumping between his early career and aspirations in standup to his breakout success in writing for the likes of George Wallace, Garry Shandling on the “Larry Sanders Shows,” Jeff Dunham’s puppet and beyond into film.

Apatow also thanked Howard for exposing him to Amy Schumer whom he heard during her 2011 Stern Show interview. “First of all I’d like to say thank you, because after listening to the show for 32 years, you finally made me some money,” he quipped. The two co-wrote “Trainwreck” together, which is out in theaters this summer. Listen below for that story and more!
