Spy franchise’s April installment co-stars Léa Seydoux and Ana de Armas

Kansas City Chiefs fans had more to cheer about on Sunday night than just their team’s first Super Bowl victory in half a century – the evening also delivered a new trailer for the upcoming James Bond film “No Time to Die.”

Directed by Cary Fukunaga (“It”) and once again starring Daniel Craig as 007 himself, the film picks up after the renowned super spy has retired and is enjoying some down time in Jamaica. He gets called back onto the job soon enough, however, when his C.I.A. agent friend (Jeffrey Wright) comes asking for help. Suddenly, Bond is off to rescue a kidnapped scientist and he finds himself facing off against an all-new villain, played by Oscar-winning “Bohemian Rhapsody” star Rami Malek.

While the new trailer (above) doesn’t outline all the plot details, it does feature a wide array of stunts and action set pieces, including Craig’s character flying a plane with folding wings, shooting people with his car, and reuniting with a score of dangerous and familiar faces.

“No Time to Die,” the 25th Bond film, co-stars “Knives Out’s” Ana de Armas and “Captain Marvel’s” Lashana Lynch as well as franchise veterans Léa Seydoux, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, and Ben Whishaw. The theme song will be performed by none other than Stern Show veteran and recent Grammy winner Billie Eilish.

“No Time to Die” opens April 20.
